What the total includes
Everything is shown before you commit: the price of each bag, postage, and any sales tax we are required to collect. The figure on the button is the figure we charge. Nothing is added after the fact except charges a customs authority raises on an international parcel.
The currency on screen
The currency selector shows prices in the currency you choose. Those figures are converted from our pricing currency for convenience; the amount your bank actually charges, and any foreign transaction fee or exchange-rate difference, is decided by the card provider. Small differences between the screen and the statement are normal and belong to the bank, not to us.
How the payment is taken
Card details are entered on the secure payment page of our payment provider, never on a page we host ourselves. We receive a payment status, an amount, and a provider reference — not your card number and not your security code. The methods available for a given order are the ones shown on that payment page, and they can vary with the provider, the card's country of issue, and routine risk checks.
Authorization and acceptance
When you pay, the provider may reserve the amount while it runs address and fraud checks. That reservation can appear on your statement even if the order is later declined or cancelled, and your bank decides when the hold lifts. A successful payment does not oblige us to accept an order that contains an obvious error or a bag we no longer have; if we cancel, any captured amount is returned to the original method.
Tax, postage, and import charges
Sales tax we must collect and any postage are added before payment. Import duty, customs tax, brokerage, and similar destination charges are not included unless the checkout explicitly says so — they are the recipient's responsibility. See Shipping & Delivery for how those charges usually surface.
If a card is refused
A payment can be refused by the card issuer or by the provider. Check the billing address and the available balance, then speak to your bank before trying another card. We may pause or cancel a payment where there is a reasonable fraud, sanctions, or security concern — in that case we will contact you rather than simply leave the order in limbo.
Refunds and duplicated charges
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method; eligibility and timings are set out in Returns & Refunds. If you spot a duplicate charge or a line you do not recognise, write to us first so we can trace it with the provider — this does not remove any right you hold with your card issuer.
Offers and codes
Enter a code before paying and check that the total has changed. Codes can carry dates, minimum spend, or product restrictions, and the rules for each one live in Offers & Their Rules.
