Day-to-day care
- Leather: wipe with a soft dry cloth after a week of use, and condition lightly once or twice a year with a cream made for finished leather. Keep it away from radiators, car dashboards, and anything that blows hot air.
- Rain: if the bag gets soaked, blot it rather than rubbing, stuff it with clean paper so it keeps its shape, and let it dry slowly at room temperature — never over a heater.
- Storage: empty the pockets, fill the bag lightly so it does not crease, and keep it in the dust bag. A shelf is kinder than a hook, and a hook is kinder than the floor.
Canvas, linings, and hardware
Brush dry canvas with a soft brush and spot-clean marks with mild soap and cool water, working from the outside of the mark inward. Wipe metal hardware with a dry cloth after it has met rain or sunscreen, and avoid abrasive polishes, which remove the plating rather than clean it. Never put a bag in a washing machine or a tumble dryer, and do not store it inside a plastic bag — leather needs to breathe.
What the guarantee covers
If a bag you bought directly from us develops a fault in materials or workmanship that was there when it arrived, tell us and we will put it right. Typical examples are a seam that opens under normal carrying, a zip that stops running cleanly, a lining that tears at a stress point, or hardware that separates.
What it does not cover
- the natural softening, darkening, and creasing that finished leather develops with use;
- scuffs, scratches, dents, and marks that come from daily life rather than from how the bag was made;
- damage from accidents, overloading, sharp objects, ink, cosmetics, or an unapproved repair;
- colour transfer onto light fabric from dark leather or denim, which is a property of the dyes;
- normal variation in grain, tone, and hardware finish, which is part of working with real materials.
Making a claim
Email the order number, the model, the date the problem appeared, how the bag has been carried and stored, and clear photographs of both the fault and the whole piece. Keep the bag and its dust bag while we review it, and please do not attempt a repair yourself — that can hide the cause and ends the guarantee.
We may ask to inspect the piece or have it returned. Where a covered fault is confirmed, the remedy may be a repair, a replacement, a refund, or whatever else the law where you live requires, taking account of the bag and the nature of the fault. Reasonable return postage for a confirmed fault is on us.
Your statutory rights
This page does not replace your legal rights, and it does not exclude a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded where you live. Rights differ between countries; if you are unsure what applies to you, write to us and we will explain what we can do. See also Returns & Refunds.
